Healthy Minds Canada/Pfizer Canada Workplace Depression Research Awards (Grants) 2016
Healthy Minds Canada and Pfizer Canada are strongly committed to improving the health and quality of life of Canadians living with mental illness. The Healthy Minds Canada/Pfizer Canada Workplace Depression Awards consist of two $25,000 competitive research awards (grants), designed to help advance clinical research and patient care in psychiatry by supporting Canadian investigators. All submitted proposals are being evaluated by an external independent review committee comprised of Canadian medical research experts.
Seven complete submissions were received by the deadline of Sept 1, 2016 and six meet all the following criteria:
- Assessment on the impact of rapid and early optimization of treatment on depression and level of functional improvement in workplace productivity, presentism and absenteeism;
- Assessment on the impact of rapid and early optimization of treatment to minimize depression relapse in the workplace; and/or
- The exploration of the impact of rapid and early optimization of treatment to minimize the incidence of/mitigate the risks for depression in the workplace (eg. quality improvement research).
The competition is now closed and will not receive any more applications.
Two winners will be announced in late Fall 2016.
