Calling all Canadian Film Makers!

artwithimpact_logoWe are seeking short Canadian films that convey stories about First Nations and Indigenous mental health. Winning filmmakers will have their work featured in campus events around the country, helping facilitate meaningful, inclusive discussion to reduce the stigma of mental illness from First Nations and Indigenous perspectives. Please note that while our project includes films from all walks of life, we are currently only looking for content from the First Nations and Indigenous perspective.

Under the leadership of our partner, Art With Impact Canada, we are using short films to create awareness and dialogue about mental health on post-secondary school campuses through our Film With Impact initiative.

Film projects must be no more than 5 minutes in length.

Want Art With Impact to come to your school?

Our events range anywhere from 30 students to 300 and all you need is some kind of multi-use room (of course, auditoriums work best for larger groups), a projector and the ability to plug computer in to show powerpoint and videos from a laptop.

The workshops themselves are two hours long and we are booking events now for the fall.

For more details, email Katie W. Robinette at [email protected]://healthymindscanada.ca and put FILM in the subject line.  Please tell us what school you are with, how many people you wish to include and what dates you are considering.
