Lift-The-Stigma

Kim Jory is leading a community Lift-a-Thon on April 22nd in St. Catherine’s, ON comprised of personal trainers who want to make a positive impact and lift the stigma on mental illness. And it’s all to raise funds to support Healthy Minds Canada!

Why?

Kim started to notice that many clients and members coming into the gym were suffering from depression, anxiety, and addiction. She noticed this in the broader community (including close friends and family) as well.

Because trainers have the privilege of helping people live a healthier happier lifestyle, Kim thought that by bringing the gym community and the greater St. Catherine’s community together, they could raise money and that goes into research and education into mental illness and addictions AND make an even bigger positive impact in the world.
